Chrrrr? take 2 by shiari Chrrrr? take 2 by shiari
My first attempt with sculpey. Not too bad, especially considering the little creature is, including the base, 3 inches tall, and 3 inches from wing to wing.

Loosely based off of [link]

The size made it hard to really put in much in the way of details. The wings also fubarred when I discovered I needed to wire them... which meant slicing and stuffing in some armature, which is NOT a good idea. *sighs*

I'm hoping to make a bigger version soon... to use as a mould! :D *glee*

Liierra, commonly referred to as "Hand Dragons" are my creation, copyrighted unto me, Shiari, aka MKD, and may NOT be reproduced in any way, shape, or form, without my express permission. Their anatomy is my creation. Even if you "change the colors" it does NOT make them any less MINE. So, no tracing or redrawing and trying to claim the resulting thing you have created to be an original. Any reproductions *must* be credited to me, provide a link to my page AND to the original drawing. I'm getting sick of seeing bad traces of my little guys out there with no credit given where credit is due.

You should consider marketing these. I would gnaw off my arm for one, and I'm sure a lot of other people would too.

Considering you had to do a bit of "post-op" with the wires, this turned out spectacularly well!

Good job!! Sculpy is sooooo much fun to use. But make sure that there isn't any movement in your armature when you start or the sculpy will crack in weak spots.
